TP-Link Tapo 2K Pan/Tilt Security - Review

The TP-Link Tapo 2K Pan/Tilt Security Camera is a fantastic device that offers crystal-clear 2K high definition video to keep an eye on your home. As a new mother, I decided to purchase a 2-pack (C210P2) of these cameras for my home to keep an eye on my baby from anywhere in the house. So far, I am extremely impressed with the product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and effective security camera.

The first thing that really caught my attention was the camera's pan/tilt field of view. With a 360° horizontal and 114° vertical range, the camera is able to cover an entire room, allowing me to easily see what my baby is doing from any angle. This feature also comes in handy when my dog is getting into mischief as I can follow his movements around the room.

Another great feature of the TP-Link Tapo 2K camera is its night vision capabilities. With a range of up to 30 feet, I never have to worry about not being able to see what's going on in the room, even in total darkness. This feature has come in handy during those late-night feedings when I don't want to turn on any lights but still need to check on my little one.

The two-way audio with built-in siren is also a great feature of this camera. I am able to use the pet camera with phone app to comfort my dog from anywhere in the world as well as keep my family safe by warding off intruders. The siren is loud and definitely grabs your attention, making it an effective tool for scaring off potential burglars.

One feature that really sets the TP-Link Tapo 2K camera apart from other security cameras is its compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. I am able to view the live stream on my Echo Show or Google Chrome Cast with a screen just by using a voice command. This is extremely convenient and makes it easy to view the camera's footage on a larger TV display.

The device sharing feature is also a great addition to this security camera. My husband and I are able to view the footage from two different smart phone devices, making it easier on both of us to check on our home while we are away. This is especially helpful when we are both out of town and need to keep an eye on things at home.

The camera is also very easy to set up and use. It connects to your home's Wi-Fi network and is powered by a corded electric source. The local or cloud storage options are also great, allowing me to save footage continuously on a microSD card (not included) or subscribe to Tapo Care for cloud storage which saves 30-day video history and provides additional benefits such as motion tracking and baby crying detection.
