REOLINK Home Security Camera System, - Review

I recently purchased the REOLINK Home Security Camera System, which includes two E1 WiFi cameras, and I must say that they are a great investment for home security. The cameras capture Super HD videos with a resolution of 2304x1296 and 8 infrared LEDs that enable it to see up to 40ft in the dark. I love how easy it is to set up the cameras; all you need to do is plug them in and connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi, and you're ready to go. Within minutes, you have a fully functional security system in your home.

One of the standout features of this camera system is the pan and tilt functionality. The cameras can rotate 355° horizontally and 50° vertically, which means you can see every corner of your home with easy pan and tilt control on the Reolink app or client. Being able to move the camera easily is a huge plus, especially if you want to keep an eye on your pets or children while you're away. I have the camera set up in my living room, and it can pan all around the room without any issues.

The REOLINK Home Security Camera System is more than just a security camera, it can also be used as a pet camera or baby monitor. It comes with a built-in microphone and speaker, which allows you to hear and speak through the security camera. This feature is incredibly useful as I can easily communicate with my pets if I see them chewing on something they shouldn't be. Additionally, the camera has a smart human/pet detection system, which sends notifications to your phone if it detects any movement. This feature is a great addition to the security system, and it provides peace of mind knowing that I will be alerted if there is anything out of the ordinary happening at home.

The SD card slot is easy to access, and setup was a breeze. I have a 32GB SD card installed, and it's been working great so far.

While there are many great features to the REOLINK Home Security Camera System, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the cameras only support 2.4 GHz WiFi, which means that if you have a dual-band router, you will need to ensure that your devices are connected to the 2.4 GHz band. Secondly, the cameras don't come with any mounting hardware, so you'll need to purchase that separately if you plan on mounting the cameras. Lastly, the app can be a little clunky at times, and it takes a few seconds for the live-streaming to load on occasion.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the REOLINK Home Security Camera System. It's easy to set up, has great features, and provides peace of mind knowing that your home is secure. The pan and tilt functionality is a game-changer, and the smart human/pet detection system is a great addition to the security system. The local SD card storage is also a huge plus, and it saves you money on cloud storage costs. The minor drawbacks are outweighed by the many benefits, and I highly recommend this camera system to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable home security solution.
