Honest review and information
As someone who spends a lot of time on the phone for work, having a reliable and comfortable headset is a must. That's why I was excited to try out the Plantronics CS540 Wireless DECT Headset with Lifter (Poly).
First off, I appreciated that the headset was specifically designed to connect to desk phones via the included cable and HL10 handset lifter. As someone who uses a Cisco desk phone, I found it easy to set up and get started right away.
But the real test was in the audio performance. Fortunately, the CS540 did not disappoint. The noise-canceling microphone worked wonders in keeping background noise out of my calls, and my voice came through clear and crisp on the other end. I also appreciated that I could customize the wearing style with three options: over-the-ear, over-the-head, or behind-the-head (with a separate neckband sold separately).
Speaking of comfort, the CS540 was surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I could easily wear it all day without any discomfort, and the sound quality didn't suffer either. And with up to 7 hours of talk time per charge, I didn't have to worry about my headset dying mid-day.
Another major selling point for me was the roaming range of up to 120m/400ft. This meant I could leave my desk and still take calls without any connection issues. It definitely made me feel more productive knowing I didn't have to be tethered to my desk for the entire workday.
All in all, I have to say I'm impressed with the Plantronics CS540 Wireless DECT Headset with Lifter. It's a high-quality headset that delivers on its promise of clear audio, comfort, and convenience. And with over 3,800 customer reviews giving it a 4.3 out of 5 stars, it's clear that I'm not the only one who thinks so. If you're in the market for a new wireless headset for your desk phone, the CS540 is definitely worth considering.
