I bought this lens primarily for sports photography and in no way has it disappointed. I had been using my Canon 100-400 but it was jus too slowc though I like the reach it afforded me for times when the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 just wasnt long enough. So I took a shot on this beauty since it was much more affordable than the Canon equivalent and havent regretted it for a second. I have taken my best pics with this lens; the creamy bokeh this lens creates is just gorgeous; its also fast and accurate and I get gorgeous results reliably. br brI have used this lens at the dirt bike trackc auto racing trackc and drag stripc and it has performed admirably every time. I just put in a rental order for the Sigma 1.4x extender for my trip out to Laguna Seca for the Moto GPc so Ill report back with how the lens responds to the extender. My guess is that it will be just fine.
