Style: Sigma Digital SLR Cameras This autofocus fisheye lens is designed for use with digital SLR cameras equipped with APS-C size image sensors. The Integral hood blocks out extraneous light and the Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes flare and ghostingc creating superior image quality. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures fast and quiet autofocusing and allows full-time manual focus override by rotation of the focus ring. This lens is supplied with a gelatin filter holder at the rearc allowing the use of gelatin filters.
I bought this lens for a STEAL of a price through Amazons Warehouse Deals. Ive never bought anything used from them beforec so I was a bit skeptical and I was worried that the condition of the lens might be bad. Was I wrong! This lens only cost me a fraction of a new lens... and the lens doesnt even look like it was EVER used! Amazon made it clear that the condition of the original Sigma box was awful and ripped openc which isnt a big deal to me. As long as the lens is in working conditionc I could care less as to the condition of the box it comes in. The lens came with a lens hood (also in pristine condition)c but I think its missing the lens cap that goes onto that hood. Not a big deal because I had an extra laying around. br brThis lens is AWESOME! Its not everyones cup of teac but its gonna be totally awesome for some pet photo projects that I have up my sleeve. It focuses quickly. Ive never had an ultra wide angle lens beforec so this is all new to mec but holy molyc I wish I had had this when I was traveling abroad many years ago! This would make an AWESOME travel lens (for selfies and just scenic photos). I am so happy with the purchase andc if you have the moneyc I would recommend buying this lens to add to your arsenal. I mainly got this lens because I wanted to get into some underwater photographyc but I can see this lens coming in handy for so many different things. Its super duper sharp and you can be within inches of your subject. I have accidentally gotten so close to my dog that he bonked his wet nose on it! Definitely keep a microfiber cloth handy with you at all times becausec since the glass bows outc you will likely get lots of dustc fingerprints and dog spit all over it (if youre photographing wiggly pups). br brI have posted one of the first photos (of my dog) that I took with the lens in the gallery on here.
