Honest review and information
As someone who takes home security very seriously, I was excited to try out the Wyze Cam Floodlight with 2600 Lumen LEDs. This impressive product is a security camera, motion detector, floodlight, siren, and speaker, all in one. Below, I’ll share my thoughts on its various features.
First, let’s talk about the brightness of the floodlight. The two adjustable LEDs produce an impressive 2600 lumens of light, which is more than enough to brightly light up my entire front yard. I appreciate the option to dim the light if I don’t need quite as much brightness, as it saves energy and still provides plenty of illumination. The floodlight is also very easy to install; it only took me about 30 minutes to get it up and running.
Next, the motion detection feature on this product is top-notch. The three individually controlled PIR sensors can be customized to detect motion within a 270-degree range, with adjustable sensitivity and range of up to 30 feet. This means that I receive alerts only when there is actual motion nearby, rather than simply every time a car drives by or the wind blows. The motion detection works seamlessly with the Wyze Cam v3 that’s built into the floodlight, which records in 1080p Full HD and has advanced artificial intelligence to detect and identify motion. The Starlight Sensor color night vision is also a major plus, as it means I can clearly see what’s happening outside even in the dark. I’m really impressed with the image quality and the night vision feature.
The siren and speaker features are also useful. If I notice anything suspicious happening on my property, I can use the 105dB siren to scare any potential intruders away. The two-way audio feature is also helpful; I can speak to whoever is outside my house through the speaker, and they can speak back to me. This means I can communicate with delivery drivers or visitors, even if I’m not currently at home.
One of the best features of the Wyze Cam Floodlight, in my opinion, is the dusk-to-dawn automation. Since the product can detect whether it’s light or dark outside, and automatically turn the floodlight on or off accordingly, I don’t have to worry about constantly adjusting it myself. This is particularly convenient if I’m away on vacation and don’t want to create the impression that nobody is home.
Despite all these great features, there are a few small downsides to the Wyze Cam Floodlight. First, in order to take advantage of all its features, you have to pay for a Wyze Cam Plus subscription. This costs $1.99 per month, which isn’t a lot, but it may be a turnoff for those looking for a completely free home security option. Additionally, the setup process is not the most intuitive. I had to spend quite a bit of time reading the instructions to figure out how to get everything working properly. Finally, the design of the product could be improved. It’s quite bulky, which means that it’s not the most inconspicuous addition to my front porch.
Overall, I’m extremely impressed with the Wyze Cam Floodlight with 2600 Lumen LEDs. With its super-bright floodlight, advanced motion detection technology, high-quality camera, and convenient automation features, it’s an excellent tool for keeping my home secure. It’s also very reasonably priced, especially considering all the features you get. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use home security solution.
