Wacom Wireless Bamboo Touch-Pad with Digital Stylus (CTH300K) Review
As someone who spends a lot of time on the computer, I am always looking for ways to make my workflow more efficient and comfortable. That's why I was excited to try out the Wacom Wireless Bamboo Touch-Pad with Digital Stylus (CTH300K), which promises natural and intuitive navigation with touches and gestures on an ultra-slim ergonomic pad with wireless comfort.
First off, I was impressed with the sleek design of the touch-pad. It has a low profile and fits easily on my desk without taking up too much space. The wireless feature was also a big plus for me, as I hate dealing with cords and wires cluttering up my workspace.
However, I did have some trouble getting the touch-pad to work with my Mac. The driver is only available for Mac OS 10.7 or later, and I have an older Mac that is not compatible. I was disappointed by this, but if you have a newer Mac or a Windows 7 or 8 computer, you should have no problem with installation and setup.
Once I did get the touch-pad up and running, I was pleased with the precision and sensitivity of the digital stylus. It felt very natural to write and draw with, and I appreciated the pressure sensitivity that allowed for varying line thickness and shading.
One of the features that sets the Wacom Wireless Bamboo Touch-Pad apart from other touch-pads is the ability to perform gestures and multitouch actions. This takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it can be a real time-saver. For example, I found that using two fingers to zoom in and out of documents and web pages was much faster than using a mouse or trackpad.
The touch-pad also has customizable buttons that can be assigned to various functions. I found this to be very useful for assigning keyboard shortcuts that I use frequently, such as copying and pasting.
However, while there were many things I liked about the Wacom Wireless Bamboo Touch-Pad, there were also a few issues that detracted from my overall experience. For one, the touch-pad sometimes had trouble recognizing my gestures or would interpret them incorrectly, leading to frustration and wasted time. Additionally, the touch-pad has a tendency to pick up fingerprints and smudges, which can make it difficult to see what you're doing.
In terms of customer reviews, the Wacom Wireless Bamboo Touch-Pad has received a fairly average rating of 3.4 out of 5 stars, based on 64 reviews. Many customers praised the touch-pad for its ease of use and precision, while others had issues with installation or found the touch-pad to be too sensitive or not sensitive enough.
Overall, I would recommend the Wacom Wireless Bamboo Touch-Pad with Digital Stylus (CTH300K) to anyone looking for a more natural and intuitive way to navigate their computer. While there are some issues with installation and sensitivity, the touch-pad is generally easy to use and has a lot of useful features that can make your workflow more efficient. If you're a digital artist or designer, you may also appreciate the precision and pressure-sensitivity of the digital stylus.
