SMALLRIG ZV-E10 Cage with Silicone - Review

I recently purchased the SmallRig ZV-E10 Cage with Silicone Handle and Built-in Threaded Holes, Cold Shoe, and Quick Release Plate for my Sony ZV-E10 camera, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. As a content creator, I needed a more stable and secure way to shoot my videos, and this cage has exceeded my expectations.

One of the things that impressed me the most about this product is the enlarged hot shoe space. With this, I can now use the Microphone ECM-W2BT for Sony, Flash HVL-F32M, or any other accessories that require the hot shoe on the top of the camera. This feature has been a game-changer for me as it has allowed me to add more accessories to my setup.

Another great feature of this cage is the enlarged battery compartment space. It is now easier for me to change memory cards and batteries without having to remove the cage from my camera. Additionally, the cage does not interfere with the camera's buttons, card slots, battery compartments, and flip screens. It even has a slot in the battery compartment to place the dummy battery cable, allowing me to place the camera flat on a table when using the dummy battery.

The cage has multiple mounting options, including built-in 1/4"-20 threaded holes and 3/8"-16 positioning holes for ARRI. I have used this feature with the Top Handle 1446 for low-angle shooting, and it has worked flawlessly. Additionally, I can install a Power Bank Clip BUB2336 to fix the power bank near the camera for continuous power supply. There is also a built-in cold shoe on the top and bottom of the cage, which has allowed me to expand my setup with a Microphone 3468 and LED Video Light 3286 for a complete vlogging solution.

One of my favorite features of this cage is the silicone handle with a comfortable grip. It is built-in and detachable, designed according to ergonomics, and fixed by a 1/4"-20 screw at the bottom. Additionally, the camera can be double-fixed with the included anti-deflection lock to further prevent deflection, which has made my shooting experience even more stable and secure.

The quick release plate for Arca-Swiss at the bottom is another great feature. It attaches directly to the tripod for Arca-Swiss type for quick switching between handheld, tripod, and stabilizer shooting. Additionally, the bottom threaded holes are designed for the quick release plate of the RS 3/RS 3 Pro/RS 2/RSC 2 stabilizer, improving the stabilizer shooting experience.

Lastly, SmallRig offers the NP-FW50 camera battery charger set for a power backup solution. The set includes two 1030mAh(Real) rechargeable batteries and a charger, bringing long battery life for shooting videos and photos. If you need a sufficient power supply, SmallRig NP-FW50 Battery 3818 is a great option.
