The Keychron K1 is one of the latest mechanical keyboards on the market, and I have been using it for a while now. In this review, I'll be sharing with you my thoughts on the features of the Keychron K1, and whether it's worth your investment.

Design and Build Quality

The design of the Keychron K1 is sleek and stylish with its ultra-thin full aluminum body structure of just 18mm thickness. This makes it a perfect fit for individuals who love minimalist and modern designs. The low-profile keycaps add to the aesthetics of the keyboard.

The build quality of the Keychron K1 is also top-notch, as it is constructed with high-quality materials that provide durability and longevity. The keyboard weighs only 650 grams and is easy to carry around making it perfect for on-the-go usage.

Compatibility

The K1 switches require less force and use less finger travel, resulting in reduced finger fatigue and unmatched typing comfort, which I found to be a great feature, especially for someone who spends most of their day typing.

The keyboard also features N-key rollover (NKRO) on a wired mode or 6KRO on wireless mode, resulting in a smooth and accurate typing experience with no ghosting.

Battery Life and LED Backlight

With a 2000 mAh battery, the Keychron K1 can last up to 110 hours without backlighting on. This is quite impressive, making it convenient for those who use the keyboard for extended periods.

The K1 also has white LED backlighting, and you can adjust the brightness and color to fit your mood and setting. The backlighting adds to the aesthetics of the keyboard and makes it completely usable even in low light environments.

Final Thoughts

After spending a considerable amount of time using the Keychron K1, I can say it is a high-quality mechanical keyboard that offers great value for money. The keyboard's design and build quality, compatibility, wireless connectivity, and Gateron red switches make it stand out from other keyboards in the market.

The only downside I experienced was that the keyboard may take some time to get used to, especially if you’re someone who is used to using a different layout.
