As an avid stargazer, I was excited to get my hands on the HSL Reflector Telescope, with its 76mm aperture, 700mm focal length, and 35x-875x magnification range. And after using it for a few weeks, I have to say that it definitely lives up to its promise of being a powerful and beginner-friendly telescope.

First things first, the setup was fairly easy and straightforward, even for a novice like me. The telescope was lightweight, compact, and came with all the necessary accessories, including 3 eyepieces (20mm, 12.5mm, and 4mm), a finderscope 5x24, a 5x Barlow lens, a 1.5x erect mirror, a moon filter, and even a smartphone adapter for those who like to document their astronomical findings.

The mirrors were well-aligned, and I appreciated the fully-coated 76mm glass optic objective lens. It provided clear, sharp views of celestial objects, with no sign of chromatic aberration. Compared with refracting telescopes, the HSL Reflector Telescope boasted a stronger light-gathering ability, making it suitable for viewing deep sky celestial bodies.

The telescope was also equipped with a 5x Barlow lens, which I found particularly useful in increasing magnification power up to five times. This gave me a closer look at the moon, planets, and stars, allowing me to enjoy the details in their surfaces.

One thing I appreciated about this telescope was how versatile it was. It was perfect for camping trips, star parties, and impromptu backyard observing sessions. The multiple accessories meant that I had everything I needed to observe, and the erect mirror made it easy to view objects at different angles.

Of course, the smartphone adapter was a great feature. It made it easy to record special astronomical moments, share my excitement with family and friends in real-time, and even take photos and videos of what I saw.

However, like any product, the HSL Reflector Telescope did have a few downsides. The first was that the finderscope 5x24 was not very powerful, so it was sometimes difficult to locate certain objects. This was particularly true for small, faint objects like distant galaxies. I ended up using a star chart to help me locate these objects, which was still a bit of a challenge.

The second downside was that the mount was a bit flimsy. While the telescope itself was sturdy, the mount was not as stable as I would have liked. It made it difficult to track objects when they moved across the sky, and I found myself having to constantly readjust the telescope.

In terms of the customer support, I can say that HSL certainly did not disappoint. They offered a two-year warranty, free US-based experts support, and even how-to videos to help users enjoy stargazing hassle-free. I also appreciated their free refund or replacement policy within 30 days of purchase.

In conclusion, while the HSL Reflector Telescope isn't perfect, it is still a great option for novice astronomers looking for a powerful yet easy-to-use telescope. Its multiple accessories, smartphone adapter, and user-friendly setup make it a versatile and ideal companion for exploring the night sky.
