REVIEW & INFO

Honest review and information

If you're looking for a drone that can take your photography and videography to the next level, the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo is an excellent choice. As a professional photographer and videographer, I have been using the Mavic 3 for a few months now, and it has exceeded my expectations in all aspects. In this review, I will share my experience with this drone, its features, and why I believe it is worth every penny.

Imaging Above Everything

The DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo comes with a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera, which boasts a 12.8-stop dynamic range that ensures your shots retain all the details in highlights and shadows. The sensor size is larger than that of the Mavic 2 Pro, resulting in fewer artifacts and a more cinematic look. The camera can produce 5.1K video at 30fps, 4K video at 120fps, and all the way down to 720p at 240fps, which makes it perfect for slow-motion footage.

I was amazed at the quality of the footage I got from this camera. The color science of the Hasselblad camera combined with the larger sensor size produced sharp, vibrant, and cinematic footage. I have used this drone to shoot landscapes, real estate, events, and even commercial videos, and the footage has always been outstanding. The camera also has a 20-megapixel resolution, which allows for exceptional image quality, even when enlarging images.

46 Minutes of Flight Time

The DJI Mavic 3 comes with a larger battery than its predecessors, resulting in a staggering 46 minutes of flight time! This is much more flight time than most drones in the market, which typically offer flight times of around 25 to 30 minutes. With this drone, I can stay in the air longer, explore more, and film or photograph more without worrying about my battery dying.

The Fly More Combo comes with two extra batteries, so with three batteries, I can fly for over two hours without having to recharge! This is a massive advantage, especially when on a shoot or working on an important project. I often find that I run out of battery on my other drones at a crucial moment, which can be frustrating. With the Mavic 3, however, that rarely happens.

Fly Safer

The DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo is equipped with advanced Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing, making it easier to fly confidently and safely. It has dual vision sensors at the front and rear of the drone, along with four more vision sensors on the sides. This allows the drone to detect obstacles in all directions and avoid them, making it safer to fly in challenging scenarios.

I have flown this drone in many different environments, including forests, cities, and even indoors, and the obstacle avoidance system has never failed. The drone reacts quickly and avoids obstacles, even in low light situations. The sensors give me peace of mind, knowing that the drone is always aware of its surroundings, and I can focus on capturing the footage I need.

Explore and Capture More

The DJI Mavic 3 drone offers a 15-kilometer max transmission range, which means I can fly farther to explore and capture more. The O3 plus Transmission system ensures that the live feed is smooth and stable, even at long distances. I have used this drone to capture footage of landscapes, tall buildings, and other hard-to-reach locations, and the transmission range has never been a problem.

The drone also has a 3-axis gimbal that keeps the camera steady and ensures that the footage remains smooth, even in windy conditions. The gimbal is excellent, and it is also easy to control, making it easier to get the perfect shot.

Smart Return to Home

With a new Advanced RTH system, the Mavic 3 can return to its home point on a fast, safe, and optimized route. Whether activated by low battery or the pilot, getting the quadcopter drone back to you during a flight is more comfortable than ever. The RTH system uses GPS and its obstacle avoidance system to ensure a safe landing.

I have used this feature a few times when flying in areas with low light or when the battery is running low. The drone returned home safely and avoided obstacles effortlessly, giving me peace of mind.

Overall, the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo is an excellent drone for photographers and videographers who want to take their work to the next level. The camera produces superb footage, the battery life is exceptional, and the obstacle avoidance system works flawlessly. The drone is also easy to control, making it perfect for beginners, and it has many features that make it a great tool for professionals. I highly recommend this drone, and it is worth every penny.
