CFexpress Type B Card Reader Review: A Disappointing Choice from StorageMall

As a product reviewer and a photography enthusiast myself, I was excited to get my hands on the CFexpress Type B Card Reader from StorageMall. However, I must say that it was a disappointing choice that did not live up to my expectations.

The CFexpress Type B Card Reader claims to support CFexpress Type-B memory cards data transfer at a super speed of 10 Gbps, thanks to its USB 3.1 Gen2 interface. While I was able to transfer RAW images and video recordings from my camera to my computer, it was not as fast as I expected. The data transfer rate was slower than the promised super-speed, and it was nowhere near the speed of other card readers I have used before.

In addition, despite its compatibility promise, the CFexpress Type B Card Reader failed to work with my MacBook Pro, and I had to spend hours figuring out how to make it work. It required manual installation of drivers, and even then, it was not compatible with my MacBook Air while it worked on the MacBook Pro.

The CFexpress Type B Card Reader comes with two cables - a USB A to USB C and a USB C to USB C. The cables are of good quality and should be sufficient for most users. However, it still failed to make up for the device's poor compatibility and unreliable data transfer speeds.

Moreover, the product's aluminum compact design seems like an advantage as it saves space and is portable. However, it is merely a cosmetic feature, and it does not make up for the product's shortcomings. The aluminum alloy cover may give it a premium look, but it does not make it more durable or of higher quality.

I found it essential to note that the product was reviewed only once, and the customer had a bad experience, which supports my opinion on the product.

In conclusion, the CFexpress Type B Card Reader from StorageMall is a disappointing choice for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient card reader. While the product claims to be compatible with various devices and faster than other card readers, it fell short of our expectations in terms of speed and compatibility.
