Aputure 600d Aputure Light Storm - Review

As a professional product reviewer, I am always looking for the perfect lighting for my shoots. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Aputure 600d Aputure Light Storm LS 600D COB 600W 5600K Daylight Balanced Led Video Light and I have to say, I was blown away.

First of all, let's talk about the output power. The Aputure 600d output power is the same as the Aputure 600d Pro - 600W. This feature allows me to have complete control over the light output and create the perfect lighting for my shoots.

As a professional photographer, color accuracy is extremely important to me. The Aputure Light Storm 600D has a CRI≥96, TLCI≥96, CQS≥94, SSI (D56) ≥73 which means that the color accuracy is excellent. This light creates a daylight-balanced 5600K color temperature which is perfect for my shoots.

The control box of the Aputure 600d features eight built-in lighting FX which include "Paparazzi", "Spark", "Lightning", "Faulty Bulb", "TV", "Pulse", "Flash", and "Explosion." These FX allow me to create unique lighting effects that add an extra element to my photoshoots, giving them a cinematic feel. Aputure plans to add more FX via future firmware updates, which is a huge plus.

The new all-in-one control box is completely silent, allowing me to focus on my shoot without any distraction. The control box also features a new "trigger" button to activate the lighting FX instantly.

Another excellent feature of the Aputure 600d is its compatibility with DMX512, a new 2.4Ghz Aputure Wireless remote with an FX toggle button, and the ability to be controlled by the Sidus Link App using their Bluetooth mesh network protocol. This means that I can control the light from my phone or tablet, making it even more convenient.

The Aputure 600d light also has multiple power options. It is ready for worldwide use via its 100 to 240V power supply. Still, thanks to its dual battery plate, it can be powered by two 14.4V, 26V, or 28.8V batteries. The control box also accepts 48V (15A) DC power via a 3-pin XLR for external power stations. I can use two V-Mount batteries and recharge them while they are connected to the plugged-in light. This feature is excellent for on-location shoots, where there are no power outlets available.

The Aputure 600d comes with a large capacity carry case, making it easy to transport and protect the light. I love how the case is designed to fit the light, control box, power cords, and accessories perfectly. It's an excellent addition to an already fantastic product.
