Anker USB C Hub, PowerExpand - Review

As the time goes by, the need for multiple USB ports has always been an issue for my devices. That's why I was excited when I came across the Anker USB C Hub, PowerExpand 6-in-1 USB-C Adapter. In the past, I have tried a couple of USB hubs but this one is different, and here's why.

First, the Anker USB C Hub is packed with features that are designed to make your life more comfortable. As the name implies, it offers six different ports – a USB-C Power Delivery input port, 2 USB-A data ports, an HDMI port, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

What makes the USB-C Power Delivery input port so special is that it allows me to charge my laptop while simultaneously using the hub. With a maximum of 85W pass-through power, I can use the USB-C adapter to charge my MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, XPS, or other USB-C devices.

Another feature that I loved was the two USB-A data ports that support a maximum file transfer speed of 10 Gbps. With such a tremendous speed, I was able to transfer a 20 GB file in just 16.4 seconds. This is perfect for someone like me who has so much data to manage and transfer.

Also, the HDMI port on this adapter allows me to connect my laptop to an external display monitor. With this feature, I can comfortably enjoy my favorite movies with a resolution of up to 4K@60Hz for laptops that support DisplayPort 1.4 or 4K@30Hz for laptops that support DisplayPort 1.2.

Furthermore, the SD card slot was a surprise to me because I didn't expect to see such a feature on a USB hub. With the SD card reader, I can easily transfer photos and videos from my cameras to my laptop. Surprisingly, the 3.5mm audio jack also comes in handy for times I forget my headphones.

The build quality of the Anker USB C Hub is impressive. The aluminum housing makes it look and feel sturdy. The USB-C adapter's compact size makes it perfect for travel, and it has a travel pouch that comes with it.

Lastly, Anker offers a welcome guide, travel pouch, and friendly customer service for free to anyone who purchases the hub. The price of the product is reasonable compared to other USB-C hubs in the market.

The only downside of the Anker USB C Hub, PowerExpand 6-in-1 USB-C Adapter is that the USB-C Power Delivery port requires a 100W USB-C charger (not included).

Overall, the Anker USB C Hub is a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable USB-C adapter. I would rate this product 4.5 out of 5 stars.
